A McDonald’s training video from the 1980’s shows you just how cool and entertaining training can be when done right. This training video demonstrates how employees should keep the restaurant clean and it does it with a little Michael Jackson flare. Using the theme from his 1982 hit song ‘Beat It’ from his Thriller album, McDonald’s creates this very inspirational video for their employees titled ‘Clean It’.
The video shows several McDonald’s employees opening the restaurant for the day with the task of making sure the place is clean. They are then joined by another person playing the role of Michael Jackson who then leads them from area to area cleaning. The MJ impersonator is not only singing and dancing, but he also wears the signature white glove and can be seen doing the moonwalk across the floor.
The entire production is actually pretty amazing considering this is just a training video, which normally are quite boring and dull. If more training videos were made like this one then maybe employees would retain more of the information. I’m betting many employees would start singing ‘Clean It’ every time they had to take care of a messy job.
