Beyoncé is set to receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award this year during the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards. She is leading the pack this year, with an amazing 8 nominations that also include video of the year for Drunk In Love.
The MTV Awards will premiere on August 24th, and we can expect her to clean up in regards to awards while securing the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
The Video Vanguard Award, also known as the Lifetime Achievement Award, is given to musicians who have made a profound effect on the MTV culture. The award was renamed in 1991 as the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award from then on.
Beyoncé, the 32 year old music diva, will likely be the center of attention this year during the popular yearly MTV show. Some of the past Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award winners were Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, U2, and Beastie Boys.
