The estate of Michael Jackson signed a landmark record deal worth $250 million that sets a new a new record in terms of recording contracts. Sony Music over the next 7 years will put together or work on 10 music projects.
This record deal tops that of Madonna who signed for $120 million along with Jay-z who also signed for $150 million, those deals included everything, while the Jackson deal doesn’t even include merchandise royalties. The projects may include a video game, a DVD compilation of videos and music albums to name a few. The money will help out towards the $400 million in debt that the estate currently carries.
It seems fit that for a man who broke records while alive, continues to break records in his death.
