A prosecutor cites Michael Jackson during his legal response as to why a prisoner should not be released early from prison. Noel Ann DeSantis’, a Philadelphia District Attorney, recently pulled out reasoning to deny an early parole based on some strong words from Michael Jackson.
Noel used some of the lyrics from “Man in the Mirror”, and suggested that the prisoner start making changes in his life, and that he needs to start with the man in the mirror.
DeSantis then quotes from the lyrics to Jackson’s hit “Man in the Mirror,” which includes the verse: “I’m starting with the Man in the Mirror; I’m asking him to change his ways.”
The prosecutor was talking about Meek Mill, a rapper, who should take some lessons from the King of Pop. Meek is serving a 3-6 month sentence for a gun and drug violation, and on the 17th day was asking for and early release.
